Carnival History

On this page you can learn a little bit more about the carnival history. Every year a new carnival chair will take over for the next year’s carnival in a ceremony at the end of carnival week. We also bestow awards for the rookie of the year, the biggest error of the carnival, and those who were injured in the name of the carnival.

Many of these awards have hand-made plaques dating back decades, making it difficult to read. However in honor of those who have helped serve the St. Charles Carnival mission and the community, especially those that are no longer with us, we have made this page in remembrance.
