It is that season again. No not baseball season, CARNIVAL season. This year’s theme is Take me out to the Carnival and Co-Chairs Ron Kennedy and Tim Kirk have been planning since last summer to make this year’s carnival the fun and safe family event it has been in the past.
Ron has been a parishioner for 27 years having raised 4 children with his wife Milissa in this community. Although relatively new to carnival, Ron spent most of his volunteer years coaching his kid’s teams in sports and started getting involved with parish committees in 2017.
Tim’s last name will be more familiar as his brother is our pastor Fr Dan Kirk. Tim’s family have been residents of Delran for years and you will recognize Tim from mass either leading us in song or doing one of the readings.
The carnival takes a lot of hard work from volunteers that range in age from their teens to their 70s . Unfortunately we skew to the older side currently but more and more school and RE parents are getting involved to keep our carnival thriving.
Please plan to come out and help us with assembly of the carnival booths starting May 8th and/or participate in carnival week as a volunteer. Regardless of how much time you can offer be sure to come out and enjoy the rides, games food and beverages that the carnival has to offer.
