Well, the last carnival game has been played and it’s the end of another successful carnival season. For the last year I have served as a chair for the St Charles Borromeo annual carnival. I have to say it was hard work but one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in my life. I want to take a moment to thank Father Dan for trusting in Tim and I with such an important parish event. Thank you to all of the past chair people who offered valuable input and experience and never failed to respond to a request. Thank you to all of the activity chairs who oversaw things like bar, construction, food tent, kitchen ,supplies, security, decorating, IT and too many more to mention (there were at least 4 dozen activity chairs). Thank you for the hundreds of volunteers who donated their valuable time to make the carnival run so well. Thank you to our vendors who have partnered with us through the years. Thank you to Chief Calabrese, the officers from Cinnaminson, officers from other local police departments and the fire/emt personnel on hand to keep everyone safe. Thanks to our neighbors who persevered through a week of noise and traffic. Most of all thank you to the thousands of people that came out to enjoy this 54 year tradition.
Our work is not quite done as we will spend the next couple of weeks deconstructing and storing the equipment and structures. Come out any weeknight at 6 to dusk and weekends starting at 9am if you want to help (no construction experience required ).
See you in 2024!!!
